How to Video

1. Install Sondar to your Slack workspace

1. In Sondar, select Integrations from the main menu.

2. Find Slack from the list of integrations, then click on Connect to Slack.

3. Review the connecting request and click Allow.

4. The Slack integration should now show as Connected.


2. Add Sondar into a Slack Channel

Before notifications can be sent to a Slack channel, you must first give the Sondar app the required permissions by adding it to the channel.

1. Select a public channel you want to share notifications to.

2. In the channel chat thread, type /invite @Sondar

3. You should see this notification when its successful.


3. Add the Channel ID to a Survey

Where to find a Slack's channel ID?

1. Right click on any channel.

2. Select View Channel Details.

3. The channel id can be found towards the bottom of the popup.

4. Select the copy button next to the channel ID.

5. Back in Sondar, click on Surveys from the main menu, then select a survey and click Edit.

6. Go to the Notifications tab, then Paste it into the channel ID input.


4. Test out the integration

Click the Send a Test Integration button. A notification should show up in Slack within a few seconds.
